A permanent magnet is attached to a pivoted switch actuator. As the float/displacer rises following the liquid level, it raises the attraction sleeve into the field of the magnet, which then snaps against the non-magnetic enclosing tube, actuating the switch. The enclosing tube provides a static pressure boundary between the switch mechanism and the process. On a falling level, the float/displacer deactivates the switch

Single Stage Switch T20 units are simple, reliable float switches, designed for top mounting into tanks or vessels. T20 units utilize a single switch mechanism and float. It can be used for virtually any type of open or closed process or storage vessel, with either threaded or flanged type mounting, and actuating depths of up to 48 inches (1219 mm).

The Jupiter® JM4 liquid level transmitter is a loop-powered 24 VDC liquid-level transmitter and is available as a direct insertion transmitter or as an external mounted transmitter onto a Magnetic Level Indicator. It relies on the position of a magnetic float which is designed precisely for the liquid to be measured. The Tuffy® II buoyancy level switches are float-actuated devices designed for horizontal mounting in a tank or vessel through threaded or flanged pipe connections. The compact size allows for installation in small vessels, while its many features provide a variety of application uses. The single switch mechanism is available in SPDT or DPDT forms on units designed for fixed or adjustable, narrow or wide differential and interface service levels.
Displacer switch operation is based upon simple buoyancy, whereby a spring is loaded with weighted displacers, which are heavier than the liquid. Immersion of the displacers in the liquid results in buoyancy force change, changing the net force acting on the spring. The spring compresses as the buoyancy force increases.
High Pressure Liquid Level Switches are displacer actuated units, utilizing a single switch mechanism for level alarm or control functions. These units are designed for service pressures up to 5000 psig (345 bar) and liquids with specific gravities of 0.40 and above

Echotel® Model 910 ultrasonic level switches utilize ultrasonic contact technology for measuring level in clean liquid applications. These integrally mounted level switches offer either a 8-amp DPDT gold flash relay or a 5-amp DPDT hermetically sealed relay.
